A local scout is holding an electronics recycling drive later this month.

Zach Knox is gathering your old TVs, radios and such on Saturday, June 21 at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 651 Dranesville Road in Herndon as part of his Boy Scout Eagle Project.

In addition to getting rid of some old stuff in your garage or basement, Zach points out that it will help the environment. You can  bring your old electronics to Trinity between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m .on the 21st to be recycled.

If you would prefer, you can also elect to have your electronics picked up from your home on the 21st.  If you live in the Herndon or Reston area, and prefer pick up, you can email: ZachKnoxEagleProject@gmail.com or leave a voicemail by calling (571) 206-8571 with specifics of the items, where they can be picked up and how you can be reached. Any electronics recycled via either method will be recycled for free, Zach said.

Eligible electronics include, but are not limited to: TVs, monitors, radios, computers, phones (home or cell), digital cameras, MP3 players, keyboards, printers, scanners, copiers, hard drives, mice, speakers, headphones, rechargeable batteries, unbroken fluorescent lightbulbs, calculators or any other computer parts or peripherals.
