Are you
interested in volunteering for the upcoming tax season? Please join us for a
special Volunteer Orientation where you will have the opportunity to learn
about becoming a VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Volunteer. VITA is a
program that provides free tax preparation services to individuals and families
with low-income in the Northern Virginia Community. There are FREE training
courses for you to become an IRS certified volunteer.
RSVP, a volunteer program for individuals ages 55+, is holding orientations for
interested community members in Northern VA. The program features opportunities
for older adults to connect with the community, grow new skills, and tap into a
lifetime of experience. Service activities include tutoring adult ESL students,
working in local and national parks, delivering healthy meals, helping in
classrooms, and providing tax assistance to low-income families, and serving
local veterans. During this one-time, one-hour orientation, you will learn
about current volunteer opportunities, RSVP member benefits, and volunteer
policies. This program is great opportunity to meet others who share a passion
for service!
