In order to participate donate 2 jars of Peanut butter and other non perishable food items to be donated to LINK.
Day to Serve (www.daytoserve.org a collaboration between Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia) has teamed up with LINK (www.linkagainsthunger.org) to bring the community together in a fun running/walking event to help increase nonperishable donations to the local food banks. Please join us this September as we run against hunger at Lake Fairfax.
Peanut Butter Run Against Hunger is a non profit community sponsored event that was organized to help those in our immediate community that are in need of food items. We do not need to travel half way around the world to find kids who are in danger of going to bed hungry every night. There are thousands of kids (1 in 4 Fairfax County kids are eligible for free school lunch) going hungry right down the streets from you in Reston, Herndon, Sterling and Ashburn, Virginia.
