Community Corner

Herndon Environmental Network - Invasive Plant Removal

We will meet at the end of Cavendish Street in Herndon (off Herndon Parkway) and work until 11:30 am or so. Drive north on Herndon Parkway past Runnymede Park's main entrance. Cavendish Street is on the right.

Bring work gloves, tools (shears, loppers, weed wrenches), water, and wear long sleeves/long pants to protect you from poison ivy. Targeted species: English Ivy (Hedera helix), Japanese Honeysuckle (Lonicera japonica), Autumn Olive (Eleagnus umbellata).

This event is organized with the support of John Dudzinsky (Herndon Community Forester).
