Take the bite out of your grocery bill- Find out about SNAP
Find out if you qualify for SNAP! Fairfax County is sponsoring a presentation introducing SNAP to older adults.
SNAP – the federally-funded Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program - helps people with low-income purchase groceries. The annual range in benefits for a single person is $192-$1,428. That’s $16 to $119 a month! The average recipient receives about $48 monthly.
All are welcome to attend. No registration – just show up! After the presentation you can schedule an appointment with trained staff and volunteers for assistance applying for SNAP. Appointments will be scheduled for Friday, February 15 at the Herndon Senior Center.

- and best of all, if you receive another benefit, you may already be eligible!
