COMMUNITY COLLEGES: AFFORDABLE, AVAILABLE, SO WHAT'S THE BARRIER?

57 % of community college students 
in 2010 were women. About 25% were mothers and many had significant work and 
family responsibilities. Dr. Catherine Hill will talk about the AAUW report Women in Community College: Access to 
Success that identifies challenges facing student parents and opportunities 
in STEM fields, as well how community colleges can provide more women with a reliable 
path to opportunity and economic security.
