Mayor, Town Council Candidates Set in Herndon Election

Updated: Jasbinder Singh also a candidate for May 6 council election.

Candidates have been announced for the Town of Herndon's mayor and council elections, held May 6, 2014.

Candidates for mayor are incumbent Mayor Lisa Merkel and Connie Haines Hutchinson, currently vice mayor.

Candidates vying for six town council seats include four incumbents: Dave Kirby, Sheila Olem, Charlie Waddell and Grace Han Wolf. Other candidates include Jennifer Baker, Eric Boll, Jeffrey Davidson, Steven Mitchell, Rick Nagel, Jasbinder Singh and David Webster II.

The Herndon Community Center, 814 Ferndale Avenue, is the sole polling place for town elections.

The deadline to register to vote in the town's election is April 14.

In-person absentee voting begins at the Fairfax County Government Center on March 21 and ends at 5pm, Saturday, May 3
