Want Your News on Herndon Patch? Here's How!

Did your youth group hold an awesome fundraiser? Is your organization holding a special event? Here's how to share it with the rest of Herndon.

There are many ways of sharing your news with others in town on Herndon Patch, and it's easy and free. 

Whether your club is holding a special event or hosting a great speaker, your little league team won its tournament, or other great news you've got to share, here's how. It takes just a few minutes.

Sign up for a Patch account. It's easy and free. (You can also choose to receive the daily newsletter, which highlights articles posted in the past 24 hours, or the breaking news alerts, which let you know when something big is happening in town.)

Next go to our announcements section and click the "add an announcement" near the upper right of the page. Type your title, choose a category and write your newsworthy info in the space provided under description. If you're not sure which category to choose, pick Social Notes.

Make sure to upload any related photos, flyers or PDFs you have and click "post my announcement." Photos will help pull people's attention to your announcement. You're all set!

Once your announcement is posted, within a few minutes it should show up on Herndon Patch. If it looks like something that should be shared with the community and has a photo, flyer or PDF attached we can feature it to the front page!
