Grab & Go Kids Planner: Herndon High children's theater, Rocknoceros and more

Looking for something to do with the kids? Try on eof these local activities.

With the weather looking up this week a lot of people may be looking to get out of the house before the cold comes back. If you’re looking for something to do with the kids, we’ve got a few options for you.

• Herndon High School’s Children’s Theatre Performance
Where/When: HHS, 700 Bennett St. Friday, Feb. 18 at 7:30 and Saturday, Feb. 19 at 10 a.m.
Why Go: Herndon theater is presenting “Aladdin & His Wonderful Lamp,” directed by Chelsea Robinson and Andy Raoufi.
Pricing: $5 at the door


Where/When: Saturday, Feb. 19 at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., and Sunday, Feb. 20 at 2 p.m. at the Industrial Strength Theater, 269 Sunset Park Dr.
Why Go: This children’s theater program offers the traditional fairy tale of Goldilocks and the three bears with a twist—Goldilocks is on an adventure at the Enchanted Forest Kiddie Camp.

Where/ When: Monday, Feb. 21 at 10:30 a.m. 13025 Worldgate Dr.
Why Go: Rocknoceros is the entertaining trio much loved by area kids. They’ll be singing, joking around and all out entertaining. Presented by Herndon Parks and Recreation.
Pricing: $5 at the door, cash only

Where/When: Wednesday, Feb. 23 at Herndon Fortnightly Library, 768 Center ST.
Why Go: This preschool story time for children ages 2-5 years old will feature tales about crocodiles and alligators. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Pricing: Free, however registration is required, call 703-437-8855.

Where/When: Wednesday, Feb. 23 at the Herndon Community Center, 814 Ferndale Ave.
Why Go: Have some fun with the little ones, kindergarten age and younger, in the pool. Fun and games are included and the training pool will be set aside for kids to play with wacky water toys. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Pricing: $5 for each parent/child, and $2 for each additional child
