Area NWFCU employees dressed in pink to support Susan G. Komen's Passionately Pink for the Cure.

Northwest Federal Credit Union raised $1,500 for breast cancer research and awareness at its annual Passionately Pink for the Cure Day.

Employees were able to make $5 donations to Northwest Federal Credit Union Foundation to show their support and adorn themselves in pink.

Susan G. Komen's Passionately Pink for the Cure gives workplaces and organizations a way to raise awareness and fund research for breast cancer, as well as honor breast cancer survivors.

“Breast cancer knows no boundaries” said NWFCU Executive Director Linda Rogus in a statement. “By hosting Passionately Pink for the Cure at NWFCU, we can show our coworkers, family and friends afflicted by this disease that we support them. By working together, we can find a cure.”

This was Northwest Federal Credit Union's fifth year holding a Passionately Pink for the Cure Day.
