National Speakers Association Inducts Ron Culberson as 2012-2013 President

Local author and speaker to serve as president of association.

Herndon's Ron Culberson has been inducted as the 2012-2013 president of the National Speakers Association

The association is the country's leading organization for professional speakers. Culberson is an author, columnist, speaker and humorist. He has written three books, including , Is Your Glass Laugh Full, and My Kneecap Seems Too Loose. He has written humor columns for the Observer Newspapers and . 

Culberson started his career in the hospice and palliative care industry. He served as a manager of counseling services, then director of quality services before he transitioned to a speaking career. He has addressed more than 120,000 people from more than 1,000 organizations.

Culberson received his bachelor's from the University of Virginia and his master's in social from Virginia Commonwealth University. He is also a Certified Speaking Professional, the highest earned designation in the speaking industry. Culberson is a member of the Rotary Club of Herndon as well.

"Now more than ever audiences need the insight and expertise our 3,000 members provide. Even more than that audiences need inspiration—and maybe even a laugh. I am excited to help lead such a special group of professionals and to make the coming year a fun and prosperous one for our industry and this association."
