Herndon Tech Firm to Trade Free Ice Cream for Your Resume Today

The company has 30 immediate openings in its Town of Herndon offices.

A Herndon tech firm invites job seekers to bring their resume to a recruiting event in D.C. Friday - and in return, they'll serve you free ice cream.

Vocus, a marketing cloud provider, will host a food truck Friday at 11 a.m. in D.C.'s Chinatown, where they will serve Street Cream ice cream in exchange for a resume, business card or contact information.

According to a press release, Vocus recruiters will also be on hand to discuss hiring opportunities and potential employees' experience and qualifications.

According to the release, the company is looking to immediately hire 30 "small business sales executives" to work in the company's office in the Town of Herndon. According to Vocus, the position requires a bachelors degree and a minimum of six months of sales experience.

"Candidates should also be interested in starting a career in software sales and motivated to move up in a growing company," the release stated.

In the press release, Vocus also touted the advantages of living and working in the Town of Herndon.

"Located in the heart of the Dulles Technology Corridor, the Town of Herndon combines the advantages of living and working near a large metropolitan area with the unique spirit and sense of place typically found in small towns," Vocus said, quoting from Town of Herndon Mayor Lisa Merkel.

"Herndon has been named among Money Magazine's 'Best Places for the Rich and Single,' Bloomberg Business Week's 'Best Places to Raise Kids,' and Forbes America's 'Friendliest Towns' - all of which speak volumes about the character and charm of our wonderful town," the release quoted from Merkel.

The exact location of the food truck in Chinatown will be revealed via the Vocus Careers Twitter handle Friday morning: https://twitter.com/vocuscareers.
