Herndon Companies Make List of Fastest-Growing in Virginia

The Virginia Chamber of Commerce released its "Fabulous 50" ranking of the of the fastest-growing businesses in Virginia - and three of them are Herndon companies.

Twenty-five Fairfax County companies comprise half of the 2013 list, prompting Time Magazine to call Fairfax County "one of the greatest economic success stories" of our time.

Tysons Corner-based Integrity Management Consulting, which supports federal agencies with acquisition and program management and which posted a growth rate of 2,165 percent between 2008 and 2011, topped the list as the fastest-growing company in the state.

The Virginia Chamber honored all 50 companies at a banquet held April 25 at the Westfields Marriott Washington Dulles in the Chantilly area of Fairfax County.

Below is a list of all the Fairfax County companies that made the list. The full list is printed in the May edition of Virginia Business magazine and is available online.

“This list is one indicator that Fairfax County continues to be an exceptional location for companies that are growing and becoming increasingly successful,” said Gerald L. Gordon, Ph.D., president and CEO of the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority.

The Women Presidents’ Organization (WPO) released its 2013 list of the 50 fastest-growing woman-owned or led companies in North America. Two Fairfax County-based companies made the list: Tysons Corner-based Lanmark Technology Inc. (#9) and Chantilly-based Ampcus, Inc. (#36).

The WPO announced the rankings at its annual conference, held May 2 in Dallas. The full list is available on the Web site of The Wall Street Journal.

“Having this kind of dynamic and entrepreneurial business community yields job opportunities and further enhances the quality of life in Fairfax County,” Gordon said. “The entire Commonwealth of Virginia benefits from the success of these businesses through additional income taxes that support programs statewide.”

Gordon is a member of the Virginia Chamber board of directors.
