Find Out Why This Man Was Dancing in His Underwear in the Streets of Herndon

He was never so happy to lose a bet—find out why.

Jimmy Cirrito of Jimmy's Old Town Tavern in downtown Herndon was never so happy to lose a bet.

On Sunday around 2:30 p.m., Cirrito could be seen dancing in nothing but his boxer shorts—sporting the JOTT logo on his backside, of course—and a furry, horned hat in the streets in front of his restaurant, doing the chicken dance to the delight and bewilderment of cars passing by, honking.

It was all part of a huge celebration to mark the third year in a row that JOTT has been crowned "King of the Wings" in Northern Virginia Magazine's annual contest.

See a video of Cirrito's half-naked Chicken Dance in the streets on Facebook here.

For two months, Cirrito competed against other restaurants from around the region at taste-test events, culminating in the presentation of his third annual crown on Nov. 18.

On Sunday, a celebration was held at the restaurant, with half-priced award-winning wings, and of course, Cirrito living up to his bet that he would do the Chicken Dance in his underwear in the street if he won the crown.

For every person that came out to dance with him in the streets, Cirrito donated $1 to Operation Homefront, with Herndon Mayor Lisa Merkel matching each dollar as well. Thankfully, being in their underwear was not a requirement, Cirrito said.

Congratulations to Jimmy's from Herndon Patch!
