Co-Worker Honored for CPR Smarts During Heart Attack Scare

Special honor at Herndon business for a woman who applied her life-saving lifeguard training from years ago.

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue recently honored a FastSigns employee in Herndon for her life-saving actions last summer, according to a story by ABC7. 

Sarah Mullikin used her CPR training when co-worker Tony Fredericks fell while having a heart attack in August.

On Tuesday, Mullikin received the citizen life-saving award.

"Definitely a lot of credit to Fairfax county," she told ABC7. "They were amazing, got here so fast. Never been so happy to see them before. They're the real heroes in this situation."
