Teen Dies After Injury on Fox Mill Elementary Roof

Boy was electrocuted, fire and rescue officials say.

Update, 7 a.m Wednesday:

A 14-year-old boy died Tuesday night after coming into contact with an electrical wire at Fox Mill Elementary School in Herndon, Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Officials said.

The boy died at the scene. Two other boys were injured when they tried to help him.

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue were called to Fox Mill Elementary in Herndon Tuesday evening when several juveniles were injured in a fall from the roof of the school.

County Fire and Rescue posted the emergency call to its Twitter feed, saying a "young male hanging from conduit approx 8 - 10 ft off the ground. "

Crews were still on the scene about 9:45 p.m. trying to assess what happened. At least two teens were taken to the hospital, fire officials said.
