Get a night out for your kids while having a night off for yourself; help the Giving Circle of HOPE honor its grant recipients; listen to the combined talents of a number of Herndon's churches as they perform the work of Mozart.

FRIDAY

• An evening where parents can bring their children to the Herndon Community Center for some pizza, games, movies and more. The program helps provide parents with an evening to themselves. Registration is required by 4 p.m. Friday, March 2. The night starts at 6:30 p.m. and costs $13.

• The on Friday, March 2 in Reston Town Center. This year's grant recipients include Herndon organizations such as Grace Ministries, Herndon-Reston FISH and the Jeanie Schmidt Free Clinic. The evening begins at 7:30 p.m. at Midtown in Reston Town Center.

• is featuring Brazilian Vocalist Gigi Mac Laughlin this Friday, March 2. The music will flow from 8:30-11:30 p.m. at Cafe Montmartre in Reston.

SATURDAY

• Singers and directors from Herndon-area churches, such as Herndon United Methodist Church, St. Joseph's Catholic Parrish, Holy Cross Lutheran Church, St. Timothy's Episcopalian Church and Trinity Presbyterian Church on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Trinity Presbyterian. After the performance donations for LINK Against Hunger will be collected. 

• The Herndon Fortnightly Library is hosting . The exhibit includes dolls wearing Girl Scout uniforms from across the globe, as well as other Girl Scout books and memorabilia. The exhibit is free to view. 

• at the Walker Nature Education Center in Reston at 3 p.m. Saturday. The workshop will focus on a free renewable energy source—the ground. Reservations are requested. 

SUNDAY

• If you're looking to add a furry friend to your life, at the PetSmart in the Spectrum Center in Reston. The organization will have a number of adoptable dogs, cats, puppies and kittens on site. 

• in Reston. Come for a beginner salsa lesson at 6 p.m., with an intermediate/advanced lesson at 7 p.m. The after-hours salsa social starts at 8 p.m. Lessons and the social cost $10, while the social only is $5. No partner or experience is necessary.
