Expressions Portrait Competition Winners on Display at ArtSpace

First place was awarded to Mark Giaimo.

ArtSpace Herndon's fourth annual Expressions Portrait Competition included 25 finalists whose work is on display at the gallery through Dec. 9. 

Jurors for the competition included Tricia Cherrington Ratliff and Caron Broadway Moody. Judge Kirt Schwarz announced the winners of the competition earlier this month. 

Prizes were awarded to the top three winners. First place was awarded to Mark Giaimo for his oil painting, "Portrait of Marlis." Second place was awarded to Lorena Selim for her oil painting, "Waiting for Mr. Right." Third place was awarded to Gavin Glakas for his oil painting, "Decisions (My Wife Jasmine)."

Honorable mentions were awarded to Suzanne Vigil for her colored pencil drawing, "La Rue," and to Ron Primm for his oil painting, "Dray." 

The Expressions Portrait exhibit winners and finalists works are on display at ArtSpace Herndon through Dec. 9. Many of the works are for sale. The gallery is free and open to the public.
