"A Midsummer's Night Dream" - HHS Drama
Shakespeare Theater - A Midsummer Night’s Dream will be presented by the Advanced Theatre Class. This widely performed play features three interlocking plots, connected by a celebration of the wedding of Duke Theseus of Athens and the Amazonian Queen Hippolyta.
Set in a fairyland wood, under the light of the moon, the wedding celebrants, four young Athenian lovers and a group of amateur actors, are manipulated by fairies who live in the forest. Shakespeare creates his own comedic magic with liberal doses of lover’s potions, love arrows, a donkey’s head, and his wondrous word play. Performances are June 3rd and 4th at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $10.
