ArtSpace Herndon's upcoming exhibit will feature the works of three local artists, Andrea Cybyk, Mary Ellen Mogee and M. Jane Johnson.
The exhibit, Color: Bold & Vibrant, is full of abstract pieces that showcase bright hues and opens Dec. 11.
Cybuk uses graphite, collage and transparent washes in her work, Mogee focuses on visual effects and geometric lines, and Johnson uses acrylics, oils and drawing to combine color and form.

The opening receiption will be on Dec. 16 from 3-5 p.m. During the opening reception, The Gassmann Duo will perform live jazz music. The duo includes father and son, Mike and Dave Gassmann.
The exhibit and the opening receiption are free and open to the public. The exhibit is open through Jan. 20, 2013. The gallery is located at 650 Center St.
