Viewfinder: Ready, Set, Go to the Carnival!

The Carnival is all ready to go at Frying Pan Farm Park.

Frying Pan Farm Park is hosting a Carnival and the Fairfax County's 4-H Fair and it opened this morning. The carnival is ready for kids, families, adults and lots of weekend fun. On Tuesday and Wednesday 125 workers worked to set up the carnival and bring a weekend of fun to Herndon.

The carnival opened at 10 a.m. Thursday and runs through Sunday. The Fairfax County 4-H Fair events are Saturday and Sunday and the Meeting House will be open Sunday from 2-4 p.m. It's a weekend to spend at Fraying Pan Farm Park.

Wristbands for carnival rides purchased at the park on Thursday and Friday are $20. A free children’s performance is scheduled each day at 10 a.m., and families may visit the farm animals, take a wagon ride around the park, or hike the nearby trail. Admission is free all weekend, and parking is free on Thursday and Friday. During Saturday and Sunday's 4-H Fair parking will be $5.
