The Music Loft of Herndon Needs Your Vote to Win a $250,000 Grant!

The local music education business is less than 100 votes away from the minimum to be considered for a $250,000 grant.

To a small, community-minded business, $250,000 can mean the world.

Now, one of Herndon's small businesses needs the community's help to make that world of a dream come true.

Herndon's The Music Loft is in the running to be one of 12 small businesses to receive a $250,000 grant from Chase Bank.

Chase's "Mission Main Street" program has pledged $3 million to help 12 American small businesses make it big.

The Music Loft is a unique music education business in Herndon, where high-quality instructors teach musical instrument lessons, rent instruments, sell books and accessories, provide ensemble coaching, hold summer camps and much more. For advanced students, they offer Master Classes, and work in conjunction with many school music programs.

The business' motto is "More Than Just a Lesson," as the teachers customize lessons to each student's unique learning style, as well as offer a sense of community.

Co-director Laura Readyoff says The Music Loft could benefit greatly from the $250,000 grant, and would use the funds to expand the business' offerings and locations.

Voting takes only 30 seconds. Readyoff says The Music Loft needs at least 250 votes to be considered for the grant. As of Monday evening, they were at 161 and counting.

"Vote for us today and support a local Herndon business!" Readyoff says.
