The Town of Herndon's 7th annual Kids Trout Fishing Derby was held Saturday morning and brought out a large crowd.

The day began early with children taking to the banks of Sugarland Run behind the Police Department at 7 a.m. Children signed in, gathered their poles and bait and set out to catch fish. Volunteers from Trout Unlimited helped clean and store their catches so they could take it home for dinner.
