Newly Renovated Fairfax County Animal Shelter Welcomes Visitors
Free spay and neuter for first 100 dogs and cats adopted before Dec. 31.

During the Animal Shelter's "Home for the Holidays" program, you'll receive a free spay and neuter for the first 100 dogs and cats adopted before (Monday) Dec. 31, 2012. Available now: Cats, dogs, gerbils, snakes!
Fairfax County recently renovated its shelter, opening the doors on Dec. 11.

Hours at the shelter, at 4500 W. Ox Road, on Saturdays are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The shelter is closed Sundays and Mondays. Tuesday through Friday, the shelter is open from noon to 7 p.m.
Tawny Hammond was recently named the new director of the animal shelter.
