Moms Talk Q&A: Sibling Rivalry

How do you help foster bonds between your children?

Ever wondered when your kids are going to stop arguing about who is better at an activity or subject in school? So do some of our Moms Council members.

Moms Council member Elizabeth Jones said she’s curious to learn how other parents deal with sibling rivalry and bickering between their children, as well as how they work to nurse bonds between siblings. She said she’s also curious as to what she might face in terms of sibling rivalry as her children age.

Council member Barb Welsh said she is also curious about ensuring children develop a bond as they grow. She said during the snow days a few weeks ago her children were able to figure out how to entertain each other and play well together, though it wasn’t without bickering. She said she was most impressed that they were able to play together without a lot of intervention when arguments did happen.
