Moms Talk Q&A: How to Enjoy Memorial Day While Staying Local

What suggestions do you have for having a great holiday weekend at home?

Welcome to this week's Moms Talk Q&A, where the is talking about Memorial Day plans.

"We are looking for a good place within an hours drive with easy bike paths that the kids can handle and a place to picnic to celebrate Memorial Day weekend," said Barb Welsh.

She said she and her family don't want to deal with holiday traffic and crows, but would love to explore some place different that's close by. "We've enjoyed biking in Great Falls Park, and have ridden on the Runnymede trail pretty regularly. The C&O Canal is great too, but doesn't afford much shade, so it's not so good in warmer weather," Welsh said.
