The Town of Herndon Parks and Recreation Department has unveiled the new and improved Bready Park playground.

Located at 814 Ferndale Avenue adjacent to the Herndon Community Center, the Bready Park playground became open to the public Wednesday, June 25 after undergoing construction since May 1. The newly redesigned playground sports a variety of safe, kid-friendly features including a barrel roller, a ten spin, net climber, rock wall, double slides, spinning elements, a wiggly bridge, a see-through covered slide, shade toppers and more, according to a press release.

The Parks and Recreation Department encourages visitors to visit the new playground and join the Town of Herndon 4th of July Celebration, which will feature arts & crafts, bingo, children's rides, family games, live music and a fireworks display.
