Herndon Garden Tour Seeking Gardens

Herndon’s Cultivating Community Initiative, a group of volunteers sponsored by the town, is seeking gardeners with fantastic gardens and lawns to show off.

The 2011 Garden Tour is scheduled for Sunday, June 26 from noon to 4 p.m. The Cultivating Community Initiative is looking for gardeners who would like to share their spaces for the tour. Gardens must be located within the Town of Herndon corporate limits.

For those interested in taking part in the garden tour, contact the town by March 31, 2011. Write to information@herndon-va.gov or call 703-435-6800, ext. 2010. Include a brief description of the garden. Additionally, photos of the garden in full bloom are requested, and will help the committee determine which gardens to feature on the tour.
