Herndon: Friendliest Town, Best Place to Raise Kids

Forbes ranks Herndon No. 12 in America's Friendliest Towns; Businessweek calls Herndon Virginia's Best Place to Raise a Kid in 2013.

Herndon is a great place to be right now according to two "best of" lists. 

Forbes ranked Herndon No. 12 in its America's Friendliest Towns list and Businessweek ranked Herndon among its 50 Best Places to Raise a Kid in 2013. 

According to Forbes, Herndon's community activities, such as Friday Night Live, farmers markets, the annual Motorcycle Poker Run and activities like NatureQuest help keep the town among America's friendliest.

Businessweek's Best Places to Raise Kids rankings pick out one town in each of the 50 United States to be recognized as the best place to raise children. 

Businessweek says the Dulles Technology Corridor helps fuel the local economy, and children are able to explore technology and nature in the Herndon area, as well as take part in child friendly activities, such as Herndon Parks and Recreation programs like Farmers Market Fun Days.
