Herndon Fire Station Receives Tommy Moose Dolls

The Herndon Moose Lodge donated the Tommy dolls.

Following the Herndon Homecoming Parade on Saturday, Herndon Town Councilman Dave Kirby presented two dozen Tommy Moose stuffed animals to the Herndon Fire Station.

Kirby, who served as the representative for the Herndon Loyal Order of Moose 2274, said the dolls are given to children who've experienced a fire or other emergency.

The Tommy Moose program helps children overcome their fear and anxiety that follows an emergency. The dolls are donated to law enforcement, fire departments and other emergency personnel who can give them to children.

The Tommy Moose character also personifies happiness, safety and security, doing personal appearances and appearing in books and on goods for children. To learn more visit TommyMoose.org
