It's Thursday—do you know what you're doing for the weekend?

Why Go: The 97th Regimental String Band recreates an actual string band of the Civil War Era singing a wide variety of traditional American songs, commemorating the 150th anniversaty of the Civil War.
Pricing: $10/Person

2. SUMMER COLONIAL MARKET FAIR

Where/When: 6310 Georgetown Pike, McLean, VA; Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Why Go: Take a trip back in time to 1771 with the sights, sounds, and tastes of the period.  There will be entertainment, games, and shopping for all ages.
Pricing: Adults $6, Children and Seniors $3

3. ART OUT LOUD 2011

Where/When: 9601 Ox Road, Lorton, Virginia; Saturday, 6 – 9 p.m.
Why Go: This festival is a fusion of art and music, blending the visual musical works that celebrate the value of the art in our lives.  Guests will be able to enjoy pay-as-you-go lite fare and a cash bar.

4. FAMILY GOLF CLINIC

Where/When: 909 Ferndale Avenue, Herndon, VA; Saturday, 12 – 1:30 p.m.
Why Go: This clinic will introduce families to the wonderful game of golf. Bring your clubs if you have them, borrow some from the course.

5. FIDDLER ON THE ROOF

Where/When: 1551 Trap Road, Vienna, VA; Saturday, 2 p.m. or 8 p.m.
Why Go: Winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical, this heartwarming musical brings tradition and family back to the stage with classic numbers “If I Were a Rich Man,” "Matchmaker,” and “Sunrise, Sunset.”
Pricing: $20-$80/Ticket
