Area residents came out to the farmers market at Frying Pan Farm Park to look for locally made goods and produce on Wednesday, May 18. Many parents brought their children to shop, play and eat lunch.
The Farmer's Market at Frying Pan Farm Park is open every Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The Market is now accepting SNAP benefits. The Virginia Department of Social Services also gave the park a grant so that there is a wireless point of sale unit where SNAP benefits can be used for purchasing produce at the Farmers Market.
