Frying Pan Farm Park to Celebrate Old Fashioned Christmas

Event includes warming bonfires, wagon rides, strolling carolers, storytelling and more.

Frying Pan Farm Park's annual Old-Fashioned Holiday Celebration will take over the park on Dec. 1 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

The park will be filled with strolling carolers, holiday music, warming bonfires, storytelling, children's activities and more.

Other activities include a craft table, taking a tour of the farm house, and blacksmith demonstrations. Attendees can also purchase s'mores kits to make their own toasted treats at the bonfires.

The event is also a chance to children to do some holiday shopping. Park staff members can assist little ones in shopping for presents for family and friends in the Country Store. 

Gifts are available in a range of prices and include locally made honey, gifts for garden enthusiasts and more. Gift wrapping is included, and shopping assistance will be available from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. the day of the event.

While visiting the farm attendees can also meet the animals and watch equestrian demonstrations being held throughout the day. 

Wagon rides around the park will also be available for those who would like to bundle up and ride through the woods and fields. Wagon rides are $3 per person age two and older. 

There will also be opportunities to get a photo with Santa. Photos are $7 each. For photo reservations call 703-437-9101. Drop-ins are also welcome.
