Five Things To Know This Week

The Herndon Ladies Golf Club is looking for new members.

1. The Herndon Parks and Recreation Department offers a variety of programming for children, teens, adults and seniors, including special interest classes, fitness, dance, swimming, tennis, gymnastics, digital photography and more.

2. The season begins on March 28. They play every Wednesday morning at 9 a.m. at the Herndon Centennial Golf Course from April through October.

3. will hear updates about the Town of Herndon’s most recent plans for the Herndon Metrorail Station Area Plan on Tuesday at noon at ArtSpace Herndon. The meeting is a brown-bag lunch and is free and open to all.

4. at the Mary Ingram Council Chambers, 765 Lynn St. The agenda includes discussions on the town’s 2012-2013 Annual Budget, intersection improvements to Park Avenue and Monroe Street, and the comprehensive plan amendment for the Herndon Metro Station Area Plan. 

5. at the Herndon Police Department Community Room, 397 Herndon Pkwy. The event will kick off the 2012 Relay season and team preparation. The main Relay event is set to take place June 9-10 at Herndon Middle School.
