Farm Harvest Days Coming to Frying Pan Farm Park

Want to milk a goat or shuck some corn? Farm park to host four days of fall-themed events.

in Herndon will host Farm Harvest Days this fall. The Farm Harvest Days will include four days of events in October. The first event, Boo-stravaganza, is set for Oct. 18 from 6-8 p.m. Children 3-8 years old can visit the indoor arena barn in their favorite costume, play games, enjoy a wagon ride and enjoy treats and a small pumpkin. Reservations are required and can be made online at www.fairfaxcounty.gov/parks/parktakes for $8 per child. 

October will also feature Fall Carnival Fun with games and rides on Oct. 18-19 from 6-10 p.m., as well as Oct. 20 from Noon-10 p.m. and Oct. 21 from Noon-7 p.m. The carnival will include fair food and beverages, free parking and admission. Tickets are $1 each or 24 for $20. Discount multi-ride passes will be available for Thursday evening and Sunday afternoon. 

For those who want to explore the farm during Fall Harvest Days, they'll be able to see a cider press in action, milk a goat, shell corn, peel apples, meet farm animals and see traditional farm demonstrations on Oct. 20 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Oct. 21 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Those who bring a pair of long pants, long-sleeve shirt, and panty hose can make their own scarecrow for $5. Wagon rides will be available for $3.
