A Herndon family is trying to spread the word about the sweet pup they found Monday, so they can hopefully reunite it with its owners before the Christmas holiday.

Susan said her daughter found the dog wandering along Herndon Parkway near the intersection of Dranesville Road around 2 p.m. Monday.

"No collar, and he was scared, but very sweet," Susan said.

She said the dog appears to be around 8 to 10 years old, and looks like a possible Corgi, beagle, and lab mix.

A couple of photos of the dog are included above, as well as a downloadable PDF flier.
