Council for the Arts Board President Grace Wolf discussed some of the programming the group does in the Town of Herndon, including many hands-on arts events for children, Herndon Festival, the annual Jimmy's Golf Tournament and providing scholarships and grants to area youth and arts organizations.
In 2012 the organization provided more than $20,000 in scholarships and $8,000 in grants to other arts organizations, Wolf said.
Wolf said there are some changes this year. The annual Taste of the Town event will not take place this spring. The event was held for 21 years.
