31 Cent Scoop Night
Baskin-Robbins 31-Cent Scoop Night benefits National Fallen Firefighters Foundation
As storms rolled through Herndon Wednesday, it was a busy evening for area fire and rescue teams.
However, one non-emergency call topped the evening as fire and rescue personnel gathered at the Baskin-Robbins on Elden Street to scoop ice cream cones and sundaes in honor of all firefighters.
Baskin-Robbins is donating $100,000 to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. To help celebrate, Herndon's Baskin-Robbins reduced prices of ice cream scoops to 31 cents.

Lines were out the door most of the evening. "We are suppose to be in pilates class," said Jay Whaley as he and his wife, Mary, stood in line.
"But because of the storms we were the only ones in class so we decided to bring along our instructor to enjoy 31-Cent Scoop Night instead," said Whaley.

To coincide with 31 Cent Scoop Night, Baskin-Robbins turned up the heat with its New Firehouse #31 flavor.
This April Flavor of the Month is a blend of vanilla ice cream with a crunchy atomic fireball ribbon laced with hot cinnamon and red hot candy pieces.
Herndon’s Baskin-Robbins is open from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekends.
