Community Corner

Herndon Elementary School

Good Neighbors Woodworking Group (55 years and older) visited Herndon Elementary School Head Start students on Tuesday, April 8, 2014.

The volunteer Good Neighbors Woodworking Group meets each Tuesday September through June in the Reston Community Center Woodshop to design, construct and decorate wooden toys. The toys are then donated to non-profit organizations and schools in the Reston area.

The Herndon ES Head Start students were chosen to receive the wooden toys. They had a GREAT time playing before each of them got to take a toy home.
