Designers Insurance Agency Inaugurates Charity Program in the Fairfax, Gainesville and Herndon, VA Areas to Support Local Community

Designers Insurance Agency launches a local community charity program electing, every 30-60 days, one struggling family in the Fairfax, Gainesville and Herndon, VA areas to receive support from the agency’s network of customers and business partners.

– With agencies in Fairfax, Gainesville and Herndon, VA, Designers Insurance Agency announced the debut of its charity program, designed to benefit the local community, one family at a time. The agency will work closely with nonprofit organizations in the area, to nominate a new beneficiary going through significant hardship every 30-60 days. The idea is to create a campaign to help the elected individual or family with immediate needs, such as living expenses, medication, transportation and rebuilding costs.

Each new cause will showcase a full story about the family and their current conditions on a designated donations page. With the newly launched program, Designers Insurance Agency takes responsibility for promoting that page through its many channels, to include its own database of thousands of customers, business partners, staff, neighbors and friends.

The agency also owns a monthly publication, Our Hometown magazine, which reserves a full page to feature the campaign and the details about the chosen individual. The electronic Flipbook version of the current issue of the magazine can be accessed here: http://designersinsuranceagency.com/magazine

To launch the campaign, Wally Arcayan, the agency’s principal, decided to help human rights activist and midwife Tracey Johnstone, who was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer after living with it for a while without knowing. For the past two years, while working tirelessly to advocate for a just society for the babies she has helped enter the world, Tracey has had increasing health troubles and exhaustion. She was unable to qualify for any medical assistance and uninsurable due to a previous existing condition, but is currently undergoing concurrent Chemotherapy and Radiation treatments and will need a stable place to live throughout her treatment and recovery. $1 donations can be made at www.gofundme.com/saveamidwife, where other amount options can also be chosen.

“We feel compelled to ignite this ongoing initiative, bringing the community together to help others in need,” said Wally Arcayan, founder and President of Designers Insurance Agency. “As soon as we heard Tracey Johnstone’s story, we knew we had to help in any way we could.”

To join Designers Insurance Agency in supporting this human rights activist, donors are encouraged to visit www.gofundme.com/saveamidwife and share the page with their friends and family through social media and even email. Contributors may be acknowledged for their donations through the agency’s monthly publication, Our Hometown magazine.
