The Council for the Arts of Herndon is pleased to announce its annual arts scholarship winners, who have shown great promise and achievement in the visual and performing arts. The Council awarded 8 scholarships, of $1125.00 apiece, to support these worthy students with the costs of their education. The winners and their chosen programs are:

These scholarship recipients will be recognized by the Mayor, Town Council and the Council for the Arts at the Town Council meeting on May 27 at 7 pm at 777 Lynn Street. The ceremony is televised on HCTV 23. All are welcome.
The Council for the Arts of Herndon places great emphasis on community service in our scholarship application process. We welcome volunteer participation from students who receive scholarships, as well as from any student interested in community service. Our Herndon Festival Hands on Art crafts tent is a wonderful place for students to volunteer. Interested students can contact the CAH office at 703-689-9535 or info@herndonarts.org.
