Herndon Kids Triathlon Sunday, Herndon High Class of '83 Reunion Coming Up, and More

Our daily briefs, bringing you local Herndon news and events at a glance.

Watch out for young ones when driving around town Sunday!  It’s the annual Herndon Kids Triathlon, kicking off at the Herndon Community Center, 814 Ferndale Ave. Registration for the event is full, but the public is encouraged to come out and cheer on local young ones, ages 6-16. Over 200 are expected to participate! The triathlon utilizes the W&OD Trail, so, authorities say, “Watch for young riders and runners, and especially watch for these youngsters as they cross Crestview, Ferndale, Grace and Elden streets. Intersections will be controlled by Herndon Police Department Support Team members. For everyone’s safety, please respect their guidance.” Spectator and participant parking will be set up at Herndon Middle School, 901 Locust St., and the Herndon Municipal Lot at Lynn and Center streets. For more information, visit the Town’s website or call 703-787-7300.
