More About Sully Historic Site
The grounds at Sully Historic Site served as the country home for Richard Bland Lee, northern Virginia's first congressman, back in the late 18th century. The house was built in 1794 on land that Lee inherited from his father. The inheritance also included livestock and 29 slaves, who operated the farm. Tours of the plantation are available Wednesday through Monday except on some holidays.
