I too was thinking the same thing. My family and I were at the park when we heard about the littleRead Moreg irl missing. We sat in the far back and could barely even hear them give the small description of her. It has been bothering me ever since we've left the park that day, that's how I stumbled across your post. In order for me to be at ease, I need to know if they've located that poor baby!!! I hated how they seemed to brush it off like, "Oh it's just a child I'm sure she will pop up eventully". I hope they do better next year if something like this were to happen again. I need answers 😩😢

The challenge remains. I do not need to argue my position. I only need to quote the constitution.

What are your credentials that make you the authority on the Constitution? I realize that I am noRead Moree xpert. I am not a Constitutional scholar nor a lawyer. I do consider myself, as do my most of my peers, to be an educated and well-read individual. However, I challenge you to state why I or anyone else should accept your word over others known to have studied the law and that are viewed by their peers as respected authorities in the matter, i.e., the Supreme Court of the United States. If, as you have stated, the Constitution is a static document, why do we need the SCOTUS at all, other than that the Constitution provides for it?

I am sure you read "a challenge to our Liberal friends" found atRead Morehttp://herndon.patch.com/ groups/opinion/p/a-challenge-to-our-liberal-friends I know that Liberals want to make things about personalities instead of actually addressing the subject at hand. What if I was your doctor that helped you with your infection or the mechanic that fixed your car? What if I was the lawyer that defended you in court or the plumber that fixed you dishwasher? You say you and your peers are educated and well read. Are you able to think for yourself? Do you ask yourself, do I want to be treated the way I want the government to treat others? Or, do I want to give so much power to people that I don't know and don't care about me at all? What is to stop them from imposing more power over my life than I think they should or want? I do not say the Constitution is static. There are ways to change it as has been done numerous times already. SCOTUS is needed because there is some things that are not black and white. If you read http://herndon.patch.com/groups/opinion/p/a-challenge-to-our-liberal-friends you will see, with a little thought, some elbow room for disagreement on some of the powers and authority given to Congress. Look forward to your thoughtful discussion on that site.
