Wednesday Morning Commute Could See Light Wintry Mix

For those heading back to work Wednesday morning, it could be a somewhat slippery commute. The National Weather Service predicts a 100 percent chance of rain and snow on Wednesday.
The Capital Weather Gang says most of the wintry mix will hit areas north and west of the capital. Drivers should look out for icy roads before 9 a.m.
The National Weather Service predicts the rain, possibly mixed with snow and sleet, will start before 7 a.m. (The Weather Channel says 6 a.m.)
Temperatures hover around the freezing mark until about 9 a.m., with a high Wednesday of about 40 degrees.
From 7-11 a.m. Wednesday, expect a mix of rain and sleet, the National Weather Service forecasts. The Weather Channel's forecast is slightly different, predicting the wintry mix will stick around just from 6-9 a.m., changing to just rain at about 9 a.m.
