The Town of Herndon's government offices and services will be affected by the Columbus Day holiday on Monday.

Additionally, Herndon Community Center classes will be impacted by the Harvest Moon Swim Meet. 

• Town offices - Closed Monday, Oct. 8.

• Refuse collection - Refuse will not be collected Monday. Refuse normally collected Monday will be collected Tuesday, Oct. 9. 

• Fall clean up - The town wide fall clean up will be held Oct. 15 to 19. More details here.

• Herndon Community Center - The Herndon Community Center will be open 6 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 8. However, swim classes, group exercise classes and gymnastics classes are canceled Oct. 6 and 7 because of the Harvest Moon Swim Meet. Classes scheduled on Oct. 6-8 may be changed. Check with instructors. 

• Herndon Centennial Golf Course - Open from 7 a.m. to dark on Monday, Oct. 8.
