The Town of Herndon honored veterans at its council meeting Tuesday night with a proclamation ahead of Veterans Day on Nov. 11, 2012.
Each year, the town calls on residents, businesses and others in the town to offer respect and express appreciation to veterans in the community and throughout the country.
The town will hold a Veterans Day Observance 11 a.m. Nov. 11 on the Town Green. In the proclamation, the town also requested that all residents pause at 11 a.m. on Veterans Day for two minutes of silent tribute to veterans.
