Sully District Government Center to Hold Rabies Clinic

The cost for rabies shots will be $12 per pet.

The Fairfax County Animal Shelter will host a low-cost rabies clinic at the Sully District Governmental Center on Sunday. 

The cost for rabies shots will be $12 per pet. Additionally, dog owners can purchase 2012 Fairfax County dog licenses for $10 per dog. The clinic will be open from 2-4 p.m. 

Rabies vaccinations will be available to cats and dogs only. The vaccine is a one year dose. To obtain a three-year vaccine residents must bring their pet's rabies certificate showing the animal's current vaccination and expiration date.

Certificates only will be issued, no tags. All dogs should be brought in on leashes and all cats should be brought in carriers. The Sully District Governmental Center is located at 4900 Stonecroft Blvd. in Chantilly. 

The event is partnership by the office of Supervisor Michael Frey, the Sully district station of the Fairfax County Police Department, and is sponsored by the Fairfax County Animal Clinic and Deepwood Veterinary Hospital.
