Police were called to an apartment in the 13700 block of Merrybrook Court, near where Rt. 28 and the Dulles Toll Road intersect, at about 5:30 a.m.
An investigation determined the victim, a 23-year-old woman, woke up to find a man in her bedroom. The man displayed a weapon and sexually assaulted the victim, then fled from the home. The victim did not require medical treatment.
The suspect is described as a man of unknown race with a light complexion. He is about 6-feet to 6-feet-2-inches tall with a large build. He was wearing a black tank top, khaki cargo shorts and a light-colored cloth was wrapped around his head that covered his face.
