Fairfax County Police released a sketch of the suspect who sexually assaulted a woman in the 13700 block of Merrybrook Court in the Herndon area in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Police will be conducting a canvass today at about 6:30 p.m. in the neighborhood in which the sesxual assault occurred.

At about 5:30 a.m. on Saturday morning a 23-year-old woman awoke to find a man in her room. He dislayed a weapon and sexually assaulted her before fleeing. Police believe he forced entry into the home through a locked door.

The suspect is described as a man of unknown race with a light complexion. He is about 6-feet to 6-feet-2-inches tall with a large build. He was wearing a black tank top, khaki cargo shorts and a light-colored cloth was wrapped around his head that covered his face.
